You will need a puller and a snap ring removal tool. You can get them at an auto parts store fairly cheaply.
The best thing to do is get a car manual with an exploded view of how it comes apart and goes back together(Like a Haynes manual also from the parts store). Pay heed to the warnings about the air bag as well.
It will take 30-45 minutes to do, not difficult but you need to do things in the right order.
When you get the new switch, make sure it is the correct one. They have different parts if your car has radio controls in the steering wheel.
