I have an Alesis synth and it came with awesome sounds and stuff but really cheap keys. There is an entire internal mechanism that makes them feel weighted. No, you can not do this. Even if you could find a weighted keyboard with similar bracket mounting, I doubt you could get it to fit. I believe all their unweighted keyboards use cantilever style keys, not square fronts like you would find in a piano (and every weighted action on the planet.
You could always use the Alesis as a sound source and control it from a weighted controller like the CME UF-8 or UF-80
... I've got a QS 7.1 that I drag around from time to time. I guess you either have a QS series synth or an Andromeda A6 (All of Alesis good stuff has been discontinued).Can you replace non-weighted piano keys with weighted keys on a synth?Can't be done -- there is a huge mechanical difference.
What you can do is price some controller keyboards with weighted actions. They don't have any sounds of their own, but they do send out MIDI commands, which your Alesis can interpret. So essemtially, you'd play the Alesis using the controller keyboard.
