There is a round hole with a diameter of about two inches in the rear plastic bumper cover on my Mazda. It is located right on the edge where the bumper bends. Some of it is bent inwards and some sticks out over the surface. I've read instructions for repair...but looking for more opinions. There is no way I can spend $500 to replace it. Okay just kidding. Fiberglass isn't your best choice.Your bumper cover is made of polyurethane, or ABS. Fiberglass wont stick well to that substrate. BONDO makes a two part epoxy system that stays flexible. Holes can be repaired fairly easily. I can't remember the name of the product, but it comes in a small box with green print. I have seen it sold at AutoZone, but usually get it from the paint supply house.
Once you repair the hole you will still have to paint it to match, and that can be pricey unless you are willing to just get a %26quot;fair%26quot; color match, like with a spray can.
