How to repair a broken ribbon cable?

Okay this is a tiny little ribbon cable found on the playstation 3. It is the one fore the power and eject. The console will not turn on with touch sensors anymore but still with via remote start. The green light still goes on but touch sensors or red standby ligght no longer turns on. Yes I have taken the ribbon cable out several times and it has lots of bends on it even right the the tip of just before the connection. I am not looking to replace it but wanting to repair it. I cannot solder so that's out of the question. I know that elctricity can still travel through it but only the green led will go on red will not or touch sensors. Please an links or videos would be great.

thanks!!How to repair a broken ribbon cable?Remove the cable and have a friend or a TV repairman solder it for you.How to repair a broken ribbon cable?I'm afraid if its cracked where I think Its cracked you will not be able to repair it. You will have to find some way of replacing it. The signal you think is going through because enough will say I want to be turned on. Nevertheless there might be a workaround.

I need you to put that cable back in and get your ps3 controller and press the PS icon. This can also turn on your PS3 remotely. If this causes it to turn on and run you can test to see if you need that cable or not by shutting down and removing it.

If it works on the controller side this will have to be your power up option from here on out. By also pressing this button it will automatically detect the position so you will not need to press it second time. It won't matter thankfully if its a shock controller or a six axis... this method works for both.
