How do you replace the oil and gas in your mower?

I bought a brand new lawn mower last summer, I used it and put it away when winter came. Now I want to use it again, and I've read that you should replace the oil and gas in it before using it again. But I don't know where or how to drain it. Thanks. How do you replace the oil and gas in your mower? If you tip the mower upside down like some of these highly informed individuals recommend you will have oil in the air filter and carburetor not to mention all over the ground. Unless you live in Arkanas don't do it that way.How do you replace the oil and gas in your mower?you should have removed the gas before storing it,

if its a down shaft flip it over look on the bottom for a square nut, use a ratchet that size to remove it then put it down on the wheels %26amp; let it drain, put plug back in fill with oil

[you should dump the old gas while you have it on its side,] it will evaporate,

refill with fresh gas,

should have read the manualHow do you replace the oil and gas in your mower?just start it and run it 'till it runs out of gas. OR, and here's the hard part, to empty the oil you will have to tip it over and drain the oil from the oil fill. they are kind of heavy so get a guy to help, if possible. point is, you can drain the gas while you drain the oil since you have to tip it over anyway.

now this is important! when you drain the oil, tip the mower over where the oil will flow away from the gas tank.

use an oil recycle bin to collect the old oil.

this is kind of a mess for a rookie so you might want to put it in the shop for a spring tune up. WHATEVER you do, make certain you drain the old oil and put in fresh oil. IT IS CRUCIAL FOR A NEW MOWER!
