How easy is it to replace an electric oven of the same size?

I lucked into a brand new (almost) electric oven to replace my old one that has seen better days. I admittedly have almost no experience in wiring, etc. How difficult will it be to replace? Won't the wiring all be there already? Please let me know if I run the risk of zapping myself! How easy is it to replace an electric oven of the same size? You should be able to turn off the breaker that serves the oven. Then there is no chance you will harm yourself from the power supply. You will need to be sure your old oven only has a 220 volt supply and the controls do not have a separate 110 volt supply.

If there are two power supplies (220 and 110 volt) then you will need to open the breakers for both.

The ovens in my previous house and our current house slid into a shelf like enclosure and it was a simple matter to slide the old oven out, disconnect the power and then connect the new oven's power supply and slide the new oven in.How easy is it to replace an electric oven of the same size?If you can wire a plug then you can wire in an oven (but you might need a torch)!

Turn it off at both the wall %26amp; the breaker.

Undo the screws that hold the old oven in place; slide forward and undo wire at wall.

replace with 'new' oven, ensuring that wiring colours match at wall and you don't trap the wire as you push it back.

You might even find that the oven is on a 3-pin plug! How easy is it to replace an electric oven of the same size?Wiring of the oven is quite simply as has been stated, but be aware that an oven is amazingly heavy. If there is 220 already, that's all you need to do.
